Outclassed by Bournemouth

Is it an attitude thing or is it a tactical/ lack of player talent thing?

Attitude in my opinion, we didn't fluke the Reading score, we came out with renewed determination and enthusiasm.

The warnings signs were there against Wigan and the players have gone back to their normal poo levels.

They're single handedly doing themselves the work of being lower league players.

There wasn't a lack of determination and passion - they were just better than us.

They've spent a bit of money on quality players, something you have to do.

We wait til November and go shopping at Netto.

Not having that. They out battled us. They won the vast majority of 50/50 balls and picked up nearly every loose ball. It's not all down to the luck of the bounce, you make your own luck. Too many times players stood off or didn't show.

Bournemouth have some decent players, granted, but they wanted it more and that's where the difference was today.

We are staring down the barrel here. We need a proper manager, a proper creative midfielder and 2 strikers. Minimum.

What is more depressing is that Bournemouth Football Club have shown 10x more ambition than Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.

there lies the rub mate when there owners took over they probably got them for 10 bob and could invest in the team our bloke spent many millions to take over us and got flip all left to invest in our squad ......

But Bournemouth have better players than us, they spent more than £3 million in the summer. You're right though, it's still depressing not being able to compete in this league

Interestingly Bournemouth spent £2.5m on one player who didn't get a game today.

The centre forward who ran rings around our defence was Brabban, ex Rotherham who cost next to nothing.

It's not just about spending transfer fees (especially with the effects of Bosman) - it's about getting the coaching and motivation right.

Strange that Eddie Howe can get some of his team who are historically lower league players up for it isn't it??

There can be zero excuse for lack of fight, determination and passion - even you're a crap player, you can bring these to the table.

spot on with this!

i dont mind losing if our players simply arent good enough, its the losing with no fight or spirit or passion that does my head in!
