Guest Spider99988
Kirkland injury free would still be a prem goalie
Spondon Owl
Always thought Speroni (sp?) was a good keeper. He has a mouth in the shape of a dogs arsehole. That is all.

townend_owl
Kirkland is not even our best keeper. Schmichael, Robinson, Camp, Marshall, Gillks, Kenny are all better. Didn't realise we had all those on our books? Edited October 31, 2012 by townend_owl

Guest Johnbloodaxe
In all fairness Robinson and Kasper might well be better but also take into account it doesn't matter who there dads are and Robinson would of got no where near the amount of caps had Kirkland of had an injury free career so also in all fairness Kirkland is a lot closer to those than you might think, possibly they stand alone as the best 3 What has Paul Robinson's dad got to do with it? torryowl
probably not the best but he's adequate .......i've always rated kuszcak so he'd be my choice as for butland he shows promise but makes quite a few errors at the moment .

kidc77
Wow it really shows how bad the last 2 decades have been to say Grant and Kirkland are amongst the best, kirkland and Grant were both great shot stoppers but nowhere near best in champ, just look at Grant the other day for Burnley, he is mr flappy hands. Blue and white
Definately in the top 5 but i think there are 1 or 2 better.
Guest wilyfox
i think Robinson probably tops the list; but Kirkland is up there. Schmeichel & Butland will be very good keepers to in years to come.

S18_Owl
In no particular order..... All keepers i reckon are as good as if not better than Kirkland. (BTW, i am not suggesting that Kirkland isn't a good goalkeeper, i think he's been one of the best keepers we have had in years, just that i think the Championship has a good number of decent keepers now who bar one or two are all much of a muchness.) Speroni Schmiechal Robinson Amos Camp Hennesey Smithies Kusczcak Kenny Gilkes Almunia Butland Bogdan The stand outs for me being Robinson and Kuczcak by some distance with question marks over Smithies and Almunia. Those who think Lee Grant is up there are way off imho...
Guest Warren Hobhead
Lets face it, with our defence even Cassillas would look average. Kirkland will get better now the defence have started to work together.

They are ok for this level but nothing more, and yes we have had much worse in goal we have also had much better, the worst keeper i have seen was Ola Tidman Hodge in his prime was good and Big Kev too, although i ma told by family Springett was the best we ever had
Linzi
Possibly but didn't the stats say he has the lowest shot to save ratio? Hart was also bottom of the prem stats a few weeks ago though according to sky!

I Particularly like Hennesey and Amos, these 2 young Keepers are the Standard we should be looking at.
