Tommo_
He's a reyt player. Barkley, McCabe, Corry Ones for the future, Corry reminded me a lot of Whelan friday night.

Ever the pessimist
Peinaar being sent off today leaves them short in midfield for Mersey derby next week. Maybe lessening chances of a loan?
TrickyTrev
Really hope we can keep hold of Barkley as it's clear to see that he's easily better than Championship level BUT if we were to lose him we still have McCabe, Corry, Semedo and Lines. Guest Part-Time Owl
Peinaar being sent off today leaves them short in midfield for Mersey derby next week. Maybe lessening chances of a loan? Oviedo should play in front of Barnes as LM and Fellani should be fit to play in centre mid with a chance of Gibson also being fit - so should be OK for Ross to play with SWFC. Hope he stays for the season, will do him the world of good.
s29wfc
They've also just signed Hitzlsperger on loan so they have plenty of cover for the Liverpool game, With it just being a 1 game ban I can see Barkley extending his stay with us before Blackburn on Wednesday night. Freshfish
I think Moyes will have liked what he saw on Friday in terms of the football being played and the opportunity that gives Barkley to develop...all being well I can't imagine him going anywhere else... latemodelchild
Aye, Moyes will have liked what he saw Friday, both from a football stance and a crowd and atmosphere angle. I thought Barkley had one of his better games for us. Hope that's him regaining fitness and settling in rather than him trying harder cos he knew his boss was in the stands. He could really be a useful asset this season based on Friday.
Guest benmark
very good player ross barkley. we need to try our very best to keep hold of him as long as we can. also jay bothroyd who i thought had a good game on friday. both players look very comfortable with the ball at their feet.
