Chris_B_SWFC
Subs: Bywater Llera Beevers JJ Semedo COG Madine Today's starting 11 should have been: Bywater Lee / Llera / Beevers / Jones Antonio / Semedo / McCabe / JJ COG / Madine The only one I'm not certain on is Madine. Maybe I'd have kept Rodri instead. Poor team selection, in my opinion. Taylor, Gardner, Bothroyd and Pecnik shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. Guest JonTheOwl66
Completely agree Bet Taylor and Bothroyd start the next game though.
dumboldowl
I am not being wise after the event, but I said to my mate before the kick-off "the bench is stronger than the fielded side". Jones doesn't seem able to see the wood for the trees at the moment.
vulva
Why did they **** around during half time with Madine in the net then? Don't know why they even bother coming out. Like big kids, not professional footballers on far too much money.
Guest Sheff Owl
I know what people are saying but Bothroyd, Barkley and Taylor will play. Bothroyd and Barkley wouldn't have come just to sit on the bench, Everton will probably have insisted Barkley plays. Not sure if QPR would have insisted but Jones will play him no doubt about that. As for Taylor of course he ain't gonna drop him, he has just been made captain.

cross owl
I blame the dancing lady owls . The last time we had them they were a better attraction than the footie we were playing . Get them to play instead of the first team , at least it'd make exchanging shirts more interesting :-)
Lawrie Madden
My god you lot are changeable I wonder if you were in the Semedo/Madine/Beevers is sh it camp after Wednesday. Up until Taylor decided he wanted to be a footballer i thought he and Gardner were doing ok better than Beevers has played most of the season deffo . Madine was woeful against Hudds. Barkley is better than every midfielder we have except McCabe Bothroyd hasn't done anything yet. Probably true but its wrong and it could cost us. Cant believe Semedo wasnt starting. Has he been poor recently? Semedo hasn't been good most of the season.
davey_wells
Taking a step back, its difficult to argue with the viewpoint that in Bothroyd we have a proven Championship striker with recent England recognition, in Taylor a top quality centre back with a ruck of Premiership and championship experience, and in Barkley a kid who is rated as one of England's finest since Rooney. I don't question the player's quality on paper, but we're not anywhere close to a 'team' yet. Edited September 22, 2012 by davey_wells

We are like a team of all stars playing in a benefit match - all right on paper, but playing as eleven individuals. We need to gel very quickly or we will really be in the mire. Guest totemowl
The 3 subs who came on today prove the OP to be wrong, as they didn't improve things one bit.
DJMortimer
If we lose the game it's the easiest thing in the world to say that the manager got this, that and the other wrong. Not long ago people would have been delighted for Beevers and O'Grady to have been sold. Now they are in our best eleven all of a sudden?
Jackie Sewell
I think for the cup game we'll see some of the bench lads. I also think we could have got something out of both this weeks games with Miguel ( costing me goals ) Llera in the side. We were tipping Madine to get 15 or so goals this season but that's not going to happen is it if he's not playing
Guest Lawrie Maddens Hump
Today's in-players are tomorrow's out-players, tomorrow's out players are today's in-player, and the circle of fickleness keeps on spinning.
