There was no player that weekend in Europe who was anywhere near him, truly sintillating performance. Other than that, complete arse gravy. Lincs Owl Posted September 8, 2012 Share Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Clarke came on as sub for last half hour or so. Played really well and headed a good goal from a decent cross. Prutton was anounced as man of match. Blades had MacMahon starting. Richard Cresswell came on as a second half sub. So we had 4 ex-Owls on the field. That was about the only interesting thing for me. Not a particularly good game. Not when one is used to the Barcelona-esque game our boys now play. Too much hoofball in the lower echelons for my tastes. Nice to see that Scunny found a team equally as bad as them. Both goalies had little to do. I struggled to stay awake until Clarkey scored. Oh- and some Wednesdayite or other scored a neat header for the blunts late on. The way the oafish away following celebrated you would have thought they had won a Wembley play-off final.
