Random Task
Does anyone actually know when his court case is? Seems to have been going on for years! It could already have happened. If it has then there could be a reporting ban.
vontemp
If we're still within touching distance of them going into the last 3 games then I'll be happy, that's when the pressure will really be on them.
darra
Don't take a lot from tonight's result. According to the first half stats Chessie gave as good as they got. Then Blunts get a spozzy pen which knocks the stuffing out of Chessie and they fold
TheBoyBeevers
Our next THREE games are all being played before United. (Preston, Huddersfield and Oldham.) Providing we do the business in our games and get results, the pressure on the Blades will intensify. That is the way to look at it.
townend_owl
Let's be honest - they played bottom of the table, after their (chessies) biggest game of the season. Yes, they beat us - but we were playing rubbish, and that was their big game. It says absolutely nothing about promotion chances. We can't comment on that until its decided. Animis
whist its far from over, united had 7 shots on target tonight and scored 4. We had a dozen or so on Saturday.

Guest sal1
All tonight has done is confirm that United are slight favourites. The realists surely knew that before tonight, but there will be twists before season's end.
Pulixifer
If we don't go up we would be able to point at 3 minutes of football which cost us 4 points. I certainly don't think it's time to be looking for excuses. Our promotion fate is still in our hands.

lowershiregreenowl
Tbh i'm not worried about huddesfield they are the draw specialists of league 1.They will finish the season behind us,Its a question of who has the balls Between us and pigs to finish in second spot. Sir tom is running the show at S2 without him they would be in mid table. Edited March 28, 2012 by Firthparkowl
Animis
And both teams got 3 points. I don't get your logic we don't convert enough and the strikers return is average at best. Orient rarely threatened yet coud have snatched a point at the death. My point is we coud have been more comfortable, as someone has said our team is probaby as good if not better than our rivals - with evans or Rhodes we'd be up by now

Technically you're wrong, it's in United's hands...I get what you mean though! My view is that if United can got to places like Hartlepool and pick 3 points up aswell as home games then fair play to them.

markowl
maybe you might get his logic if we get pipped for 2nd place on goal difference There's 7 games left. Theres no point worrying about gd now really.
sheffield_dave
Yes, but we've known and have been saying this since before Christmas. At the end of the day they have a Championship standard striker on their hands on upper Championship wages. I mean, he's a player who failed in The Championship and who every United fan I've ever spoken to slagged him off to hell last year, but he's a Championship level player all the same. United are always going to score goals against the weaker sides in this league. They've put four past the bottom of the league. A good win, but the sort of win we've known they're capable of for months. United will end up with a higher goal difference than us. We have to make sure we have more points than them. This one's going down to the wire.
FreshOwl
they've struggled to put away teams just as we have - that's the reason they are only JUST above us. Get a grip and don't judge their whole season on the fact they've beaten Chessie and we didn't this and this and this
