Guest sal1
We're going up us champions - no doubt in my mind! Phew that feck for that.
owls maniac
Let's concentrate on ourselves. Win our remaining games and we will almost certainly be up. There's no use picking out lost points, it serves no purpose. United have a tricky away game on Saturday. Let's win our early game and pile the pressure on again. trevdi9
playoffs at worst , who's up for a day at wembley ,if we do not get automatic at least a good day beckons, automatic is going to be a hard one but funnier things have happened ,we just have to keep winning and take it as it comes ,daft as though it seems charlton could lose a few more ,if so then it's a different ball game ,

Agree that Charlton are not home and hosed just yet. One good thing is that if we are going into the play-offs then the nightmare scenario of being dumped out by United is unlikely. If we don't make the top two then I'm certain that United will. Edited March 28, 2012 by sal1
trevdi9
I would love automatics Sal1, but it's a tall order though not unachievable , depending on others results of course, if the pigs lose the shed or macdonald gets put out again who knows ,but i do fancy us in the playoffs, And it will have the special bonus of a trophy again , bearing in mind the pigs trophy room will still be empty ,
Guest greggo1867
I think I'll wait till we've played Udders away before I decide whether I fancy us in the playoffs...
trevdi9
Fair comment mate tbh no ones doubting the chance of automatic just thinking that the playoff rout is not so bad either if it comes to that .

No no, I get what you were saying, and I'm inclined to agree, we're a better side than MK and we should be a better side than Stevenage/Carlisle too when it matters. But the Udders game is important for two reasons - it could make or break our chances of automatic, but also show whether Jordan Rhodes has the Indian sign over us - our defence had no answer to him in december, and it will likely be the same defence that plays in the away game/playoffs. hillsbob
Tbh i'm not worried about huddesfield they are the draw specialists of league 1.They will finish the season behind us,Its a question of who has the balls Between us and pigs to finish in second spot. Sir tom is running the show at S2 without him they would be in mid table. i think we are getting a bit obsessed with evans. they havs scored nearly 80 goals so he's not the only one scoring. if they lost him to injury it would be a boost to us, but they seem to be spreading the goals around,, so would still be a threat. Whatever happens, after finishing in the bottom third last year, the turn around has been MASSIVE. If it takes an exciting end to the season and a fantastic weekend out at our national stadium with the kids, family and friends to go up then bring it on. smhouston
Don't forget that at Hillsborough Danny Batth had Evans in his back pocket all game. He is a very good striker, but their main man is Macdonald. He controls it for them, cut him out of the equation then you'll see a different United, like we did at Hillsborough. oh_weds_we_love_you
There is just a one game swing between the two Sheffield clubs after 39 games! 7 games to go, plenty to play for with both clubs starting to hit good form. Keep the faith! UTO FTB!
Spookone
We've again seen a top striker at this level, for all those comparing Evams with Madine, there's no comparison, Evans and Rhodes are streets ahead I really dont see how anyone can think any different - the pudding is in the pie (or something like that). If we had either of these 2 we would be leading the division by some margin!!! Edited March 29, 2012 by Spookone
B.A Baracus
.........but the pigs know how to finish poor teams off!!! Upto scoring the second there wasnt too much between the 2 teams tonight listening to radio shefiield. But they scored a few more and have carried on going for more. Still 7 games to go and it ain't over yet, would have been nice if pigs got turned over tonight but dont think anyone expected it. Never know maybe chesterfield will score 4 in next half hour!!!! They were playing Chesterfield. You've said it yourself, nobody expected them to lose. Did they finish Colchester off? Did they finish Tranmere off? Did they finish Oldham off? Did they finish Walsall off? No. Just because they've beaten a side, who've had 3 days off in comparison to their 8 days off, who are also bottom of the league, AT HOME, doesn't mean we need to start panicking and talking play offs again. We'll be second again by 15:00 saturday and then the pressures back on them to go and get 3 points at Hartlepool. Much tougher than last night. Keep the faith. Stop having a flounce everytime the wind changes direction.

The fact they have a touch away trip is beneficial to us.
