EcclesallOwl
Not hard to create an atmosphere when playing well We're not going to win, play well or score in every home game though.. We want a decent atmosphere when we're not playing well. Try to lift the players a bit more if they're not playing so well.

It was just much much much better than it has been all season....
Miffed
All the rows about the Ultras and the band creating an atmosphere... All we needed was a goal ...who woulda thought it Regular performances like that and the atmosphere sorts itself, proves that theres no need for a singing section when the whole Kop can be like that. Tamworthowl
Away games, and I give Fulham as a recent example, shows that an atmosphere can be created without a goal.
chad
Away games, and I give Fulham as a recent example, shows that an atmosphere can be created without a goal. but that's a different kettle of fish. 2k + in one area that go to watch the match and get behind the team as opposed to 18k+ scattered around 3 sides of a 38k seated stadium. TBH with the tripe that's been served up at home this season why would you get behind the team? Hopefully after yesterday's result it can spur both the team and the supporters on to creating a better atmosphere/performance

abrodie2002
If the players are showing commitment and the right attitude on the pitch then that breeds confidence and atmosphere! Win lose or draw it's the players on the pitch who get the crowd going! I've seen us lose to decent teams but the atmosphere has been electric because the crowd can see that the players are trying their hardest! GY-owl.4
Pigs mad are running a thread taking wee wee out of our attendance yesterday. Mahmafoot thinks we're nobodies. Dunno why, were currently averaging over 20000 home fans per game.... not bad for lowest home scorers in the country and stuck in mid table, they might nearly equal that if they count away fans... doubtful. 15K for the play-offs though!! chad
Because you pay your money to 'support' the team don't you...? well you do but if it's not performing should you sit there and go "bravo" after another dire game where you fail to score? it's a 2 way street players have to give something to shout about and supporters need to give their backing. Leaping Lannys Perm
Considering how many Boro brought, they didn't make a sound after the first five minutes except for the Semedo incident.
