list of players wages..

Recommended Posts

Was always of an opinion that Canshiri is poorly advised by people close to him who don't have clubs or his best interest in mind. Guess they are the same ones advising him not to employ director of football as it would make bleeding money out of Chairman and the club that much harder.

So Rhodes is getting 5% of his contracted wages.

While reflects his performance, can see why players are peed.

Pulis pulls us through this, another massive bonus.

think about things a different way . our gate receipts season ticket sales aint that high and some have already paid upfront for 5 years so not all this seasons season ticket money would the club have got 15000 paying this season at most if 5 have already paid , average the price out to inc kids oaps it be 5-6million a season shortfall , but take off the high earners what left last summer inc fletcher forestieri hutchinson  and loads more there wages will have totalled well more than the shortfall from gate receipts this season and the incomings are on well under half of what they were on. so chansiri must be in a serious financial mess

The problems with modern football writ large for all to see but we believe the spin. Can we stop talking in weekly wages please?

It's not 35,000 a week. It's nearly 2 million a year. For a 4 year contract that's 8 million quid. For a return of basically nothing. Plus transfer fees, signing on bonuses and agent's fees. We're looking at 20 million for the pleasure of having Rhodes play for us. I like the bloke and the fee isn't his fault but football and by extension our club cannot carry on like this. What do we get yearly from gate receipts? Half that maybe and that's for one player.

Yes it's conjecture and the numbers might be out but nobody on here would be surprised if they are right.

It's short career and players need rewarding for their talents and marketability but getting a million quid out of a 4 year contract would be a very well payed member of society who is basically set for life. Giving them 8 times that while being unable to refund season ticket holders is bordering on criminal.

You give me a choice between rewarding players like Hunt and Shaw with two or three times their current wage and signing 20 of them or paying for 1 Premier league striker, I'll take the young lads every time.

What about the money that is being paid back..£4m - £8m?

Would think there would have been enough, along with pog.. to pay wages for the rest of the season.

Looks to me like that money was relied on..now its gone or about to be gone..he's trying to get further funds...from where, who knows...perhaps that's why he's in Thailand.

The players didn't seem worried on Saturday, he says he will pay it before Christmas.

Best to wait and see I would think.

if you add up off that list on page 1 what players are earning and compare it to 2years ago its a hell of a lot less now and will be even lower by quite a bit at end of this season . we have lost hooper 29k fletcher 35k fox 15k? forestieri 30k hutchinson 23k, david jones 30k george boyd 23-30k and loads of others most replacements are on a 3rd of there wage and squad is much smaller too now. so if he cant afford to pay now god knows what would happen if that lot were still here. season ticket sales and match day income isnt a lot and most of it was paid last jan feb anyways ,only 20% would have got a season ticket last summer and we all know potd is very low maybe as low as 3000 per game so blaming lack of income stream for players not getting paid cant be very much to do with that. though his businesses could be suffering badly and in this case rich owners bankrolling there clubs may also be having this problem. its going into meltdown
