Is chair throwing not hooliganism?

No it's not. What's your definition of hooliganism?

I notice our local media said nowt last season when Loovens had a bottle thrown at him.

I don’t condone it, and not suggesting that it’s ok because they did it last season. But the local media can’t wait to stick the boot in at the moment. There’s now an article about the chants towards Henderson, and now he’s deleted his account because some twitter keyboard warriors have been at him. I can understand that such a chant isn’t very nice to hear, but is it news worthy? Is the fact he’s deleted his account newsworthy?

There appears to be this notion that Utd fans are angels, and they’re the victims. They had tools out in force and so did we, mixed with SYP incompetence it made for some ugly scenes. But somehow Wednesday are being made to look like the responsible party here?

Yet nowt was ever said when they chanted “Ched Evans he sh*gs who he wants”.

That Danny Hall fella seems to like a little campaign against wednesday every so often. If it’s not tickets then it’s something an idiot said in twitter. Yet I notice not a lot of condemnation when that lad tweeted that vile comment about Bruce and his parents.

Its all a bit pathetic really. And the local media love to stoke it up.

The angle was ‘United fan apologises after vile tweet’. Small article, nobody really picks up on it.

Yep he apologised but why not take the same angle they did about the Billy Sharp tweet a few months back? It’s as if the apology makes it ok. It was an absolutely disgraceful thing to say, let alone type. But can’t help but feel a little bias towards United.

Idiots will always be idiots, but I agree with you they hate us at the moment. Little coverage when United fans chanted ‘Dave Jones was a paedo’, even though the stress of that false accusation led to his fathers death.

If someone chucked a chair at me, I'd think they were a hooligan.

Maybe they just could be slightly angry. My brother once threw a chair in Norfolk Park Medical Practice reception. He's not a hooligan though.

Sounds like something a hooligan would do.

But the above explains your condoning of chair throwing.

To be fair, he has issues.

There's plenty of precedents for the punishment we'll receive. I reckon there's objects thrown at nearly every derby that takes place around the country. Add in the needle matches such as man u v liverpool and palace v brighton and I'm sure the FA will have no problems finding the same level of stupidity and applying the same sanction.

If it's a fine then those that threw it should pay it. Let's get em identified and banned. I won't miss em tarnishing our name. I hate ymthe pigs and every other team as much as the next man but it would never cross my mind to throw summat at their players or fans.

Hooliganism isn't Wednesdayism.

Facts are.. for the most expensive game policed in the country last season ... the pig were held back at the ground and let out gradually .. all done in broad day light .. they were then escorted down catch bar lane .. and yes they was an incident on the junction of Parkside road.. unsavoury let’s say.

Monday.. in the dark .. you get lots of coaches parked up and the fans not held back, DESPITE SYP going out their way to say they would?guess what it goes off ..

That one  change created more problems than anything else.

The cost reduction logic is based on operational time it would seem .. policing a mid week game is starting 3:30 till midnight at best. While a noon Sunday kick off was policed 10:30am till probably 8pm maybe later.. this costs more.

He is a member on S24SU (pigs forum). They bring a load of bitter poo to his attention and he sticks it in The Star. Basically a mouth piece for the scrubbers.

Didn't someone from the Star post on here for for a while? Received a bit of abuse so disappeared.

Maybe this is why they're bias nowadays.

Aren't chairs really awkward to throw. I mean I can understand if under severe attack throwing a brick or a bottle. But a chair? I mean how can you properly aim the thing?

I've been watching Vikings too much. But notice they never throw chairs. Spears yes, and hatchet now that would have been hooliganism without a doubt.

Since Paul Thompson retired there's nobody working for the Star who sticks up for the Wednesday cause. Dom who covers our games is a Huddersfield fan. Its very much the same of RS since Rob Staton has left. Media can influence so many things yet we have nobody who can fight our corner but have many who would do the opposite.
