The club have been loyal to Westwood and given him a chance.

Maybe it's not the club at fault ?

That would be earlier to believe, if we hadn’t already frozen out numerous other players under chansiris regeme.

Cant see that somehow

Because their transfer window is 5-6 months away from opening? Or because they wouldn't want a 'bad egg' in their great squad?

So what I was told......

He consistently got away with murder under CC and after another conflict in December/January, immediately after CC's departure, it went quite public that his time here was over and agreed by both sides.

We are only paying him a very low weekly wage but he was on a much bigger  amount for a clean sheet bonus based on his record over his first two years here.

So his time here was over, he's one of the best keepers on the division and apparently not on a significantly high wage so therefore his demands wouldn't put others off, yet despite this... he's still here two transfer windows later.

Calling bs on this one.

Not good enough for starters

He signed a new deal after the play off final. He'd had 2 seasons in a row with an club record equalling number of clean sheets, a PFA team of the year inclusion and an Owls player of the season award. Seemed like a brilliant bit of business at the time.

At the time he was worth every pound. Can you imagine if we had lost him because we would not match wages.

I suppose (if all this is true) then his wages might not be large to us minus the clean sheet bonus. When you add the bonus on and assume he’d want similar from any club he signed for (in bonuses or all in) then it may well put them off.

Wednesdayite friend on Tumblr claims dressing room bust-up, but who knows? I hope things get sorted soon because he is a good keeper, but if he's a toxic influence, he's got to go. There's enough of that crap going on in the Premiership as it is.
