I remember an interview with Chris Turner (I think) where he said 'I told him do some weights and he replied that he was a millionaire and didn't need to'. So crack on mate, let's have some names. Probably would have still lost because they were far better than us then, but you never know He was in great form in December and had led us to our best run of results that season giving us a glimmer of hope of staying up. Turner sold him and basically started planning for the 3rd division with half the season left. We barely won a game for 2 or 3 months after that. Yeah I'm sure that was his attitude. Maybe Turner needed an excuse for selling our best player at the first opportunity and leading us to a nosedive towards relegation. BIG D
I'm not sure even Turner would make that up. Anyway...

Top scorer for 3 seasons in a row in the second division despite leaving 1 season halfway through. Was a far better player during that time than the players around him and went on to have a decent career after spending 3 seasons in the relative wilderness with us at the foot of the 2nd division. Good to see Turner improved the team and results after shipping him out........

Middlewood Owl
I didn't like him at first and thought he was lazy but that was just his laid back style, he had quality and scored some great goals during his time here, winning me and the majority of fans over in the process. Gave us way more than the likes of Jonk and De Bilde.

sMacLean
He was the only player to get fans on their feet those few years.Always a possibility of a rocket from him. That volley against Derby was unreal.

He was a quality player, head and shoulders above most of the squad. He'd walk in the team now.

Whitechapel Owl
Remember that lovely Ferrari he had, one of those where you can see the engine in the boot. Think he had a reg that was 51B0N 1 or something on it.
Shetland Owl
We need someone like him now, we never seem to do much with free kicks, he was always likely to score.

Guest Theboylangers
I liked him. Had a languid style that often frustrated and delighted at the same time. Scored some great goals in an increasingly bad side.
