Good thread. Who cares about the name? It would always be known as Hillsborough by the faithful, who gives a shit what other fans call it.

Certainly better than those 'lick of paint' thread, lord give me strength.

interesting that the decade after 89, whilst we were in the top flight, hardly anyone mentioned the disaster. We even had mixed fans on the bottom lep - no issues, no media obsession, no name shame.

I think some wednesday fans have become weak on this subject and its like a self fulling prophecy. For me there is no issue - fans of other clubs i know and speak to always refer to 'Hillsborough' and many complement the ground as a traditional one they look forward to going to.

I can't think of many club whose fans who would have this doomed obsession.

Why oh why has nobody just changed the name of our stadium?

We have such a clear reason to do it.

Yes we should demolish the lep, but it's been 26 years and nobody has.

Make some money but more importantly let the name go and get rid of some of the taint of the disaster finally.

Chansiri stadium if you like mate. Or sell off the naming rights.

I officially knight you as the biggest t0sser to grace HILLSBOROUGH!
