Fletcher. Brilliant work rate and csused them all sorts of problems.

Westwood  -  6  Very little to do

 

Palmer  -  6  Did OK

Lees  -  5  Unusually sloppy

Hutchinson  -  7  Solid

Pudil  -  6  Did OK

 

Wallace  -  5   Frustratingly hit and miss , would like to see Buckley or Reach get a start on tue

Lee  -  7   Worked his nads off as always , final pass missing mostly though

Bannan  -  7  Did well , kept us ticking in a drab first 30 mins

Abdi  -  6   Saw plenty of ball but needs to contribute more in an attacking way......too many sideways 5 yard passes

Forestieri  -  7  More like his old self

 

Fletcher  -  8  MOM.......hard working , mobile and breakthrough goal

Hooper  -  7   Looked very lively , just wish he was this busy in games that he starts

Reach and Buckley  -  6  Both looked promising in their short cameos

 

Overall

 

Thought CC made an error in how we set up yesterday , there are plenty of times when playing one out and out striker makes sense......but Wigan at home isn't one of them.

Immediately looked much better once Hooper gave Fletcher some support,

Westwood 7 didn't have much to do but made a decent save 1st half

Palmer 7 looks much better than Hunt

Lees 6 poor first half but better second 

Hutchinson 7 Another good showing from him

Pudil 7 Was doing the job of two men and did reasonably well

Wallace 6 didn't realise he was playing first half. Looked OK second would drop him on Tuesday 

Bannan 7 great ball for Fletchers goal 

Lee 7 is there an inch of that pitch he dosent cover 

Abdi 6 looks better in a central position 

Forestieri 8 looking like the player we remember from last year 

Fletcher 9 Surprised at how good he is 

 

Hooper 6 looked good unlucky with the acrobatics

Reach 6 Only a cameo but played a great ball for Buckley I think

Buckley Not on long enough

Hutchinson wasnt far behind. I have been really critical of Palmer on here over the last few seasons, but today he had a really great game, hopefully the right back position is his place to lose.

 

So who was right,saw something online that said he had a 100% pass completion, can't have been too bad

Hutchinson for me he reads the game brilliantly and can play a pass out ,can't see Lovens getting his shirt back barring a red card or injury he

More people seem to be saying this after a useful half season or so last year, not a 1st choice for a promotion side imo but seems to be a cc favourite for some reason. 

 

Hope buckley, reach n urby dont struggle to establish themselves from the bench due to favouritism towards steady/average/predictable performers because its gonna take alot more than that to go up, more so as time goes by and we never beat top 6 last season
