Official Summer 2016 Transfer Rumours Megathread

I also live in Italy.

For Premiership, Zapata from NAPOLI - last on loan at Udinese - for me as a Wickham -type centre forward.

To do a Stoke etc, bring back  Giovinco , ex - Juventus, from USA where he's wasting his relatively young talent (but earning loads).

When I played FM back in the day Zapata was ace. Way out of our league though surely?

Zapata is Colombian, and not a full international. Zero permit chance.

How come other clubs within the EU can avoid work permit issues, but we cant?

Surely if its something the FA or the UK Government have applied, itcmust be against some EU law?

He's a non-EU player, obviously, so different countries set their own criteria for entry of non-EU citizens. Ours is...must belong to a FIFA top-50 ranked nation, having made x number of international appearances within the last 2yrs. West Ham tried for Zapata way back, and failed.

Cheers, I didn't realise each EU country could choose the criteria.

Learn something new everyday.

Some geeza for Football league world has said we 'cannot afford to miss out' on Paddy McNair, Joshua Onomah, Alan Judge, Dominic Iorfa and Lewis Dunk.

Onomah is definitely set for a big future. Quality player, but will probably be in Spurs' plans next season. If not we should absolutely get him on loan.

Iorfa would be a good option for RB but probably not Premier League quality.

The others would be top signings for this level, but might not cut it in the league above.

Same guy is also talking about Judge playing at Euros. Difficult with a broken leg!

Gaston Ramirez released by Southampton. Would definitely be wroth a look at but will probably sign for Boro.

Two other former Boro players I would love to see us go in for are Richie Da Laet and Tomas Kalas. Quality defenders that could do well at this level or the Premier League.

Finally Sergi Canos is reportedly available from Liverpool for £4 million. Had a great season at Brentford, but that price tag seems a little too steep.
