What year did we start to be referred to as 'Sheffield Wednesday FC' rather than 'The Wednesday FC'?

I always thought it was post 1900.  I was wrong apparently.

Whilst we didnt officially change our name til the late 1920's, I'm pretty sure I've seen the name "Sheffield Wednesday" on one of the stands at Olive Grove (no doubt one of Dunsby's other posts) so I'm guessing that term was in use early 1880's i.e. for 40 odd years before we "officially" adopted it.

You can't really make it out but it says Sheffield Wednesday on the roof!
