Washington is over-priced and is a lower league striker, Hooper makes more sense and would be the far better deal for his pedigree and goal scoring record.

Rhodes is way over-priced but scores bucket loads at this level, so does Hooper, bringing in someone like Judge would be the smarter move because of his assists as well as goals.

McCormack is over-priced and older than Rhodes, their records are fairly similar, as is Hooper's. Hooper offers far greater value for money and would be a bargain in comparison,

plus he fits in with how we play and we've had a glimpse of what he can do and what he can bring here, when he's fit and in form.

For what's out there and available, the smarter business would be to go Hooper and Judge instead of a Rhodes or McCormack type deal.

Rhodes or McCormack would be a statement of intent deal, a statement to the League, more or less. We need a couple of quality players, not one risky overpriced quality signing.

For what we need, for what's out there and for the prices. Hooper and Judge makes the most sense and would fit in best with how we play. I personally hope we get Hooper and Judge in, it makes the most sense.

The majority of your posts are excellent mate, as is that one.

West Ham joint-chairman David Gold has claimed Southampton's signing of striker Charlie Austin is not the £4million bargain many consider.

West Ham were rumoured to be interested in the QPR forward, reacted to Hammers supporters on Twitter, who had Tweeted that '4 mill is a bargain Austin is a brilliant player one of the best English strikers there is right now.'

Gold's respondedicated by asking 'Is he a bargain if his wages are £100,000 per week?

A deal worth £23m to the player who also received a substantial signing on fee with his deal with the hoops set to expire in the summer.

Leicester City had also bid for the striker but baulked at breaking their current wage structure.
