Maybe to avoid such controversy in the future we should take a lead from the Rugby rules. Game doesn't finish until the ball goes dead after time is called. Then when Isgrove had smashed it into the net (or knowing Wednesday's ability in front of goal blasted it wide) it would have been full time.

Did the Wednesday players come back onto the pitch to clap the fans after the game?

I left a couple of minutes after the whistle as I thought they was no chance of them coming back out.

Put a tenner on us to win at 10-1. I'm a bit annoyed about that. The ref is running up the pitch, and as soon as Isgrove beats his man, he then decides to put the whistle to his mouth.

If his true intentions were to blow as soon as the ball was cleared from the corner, he would have had the whistle ready, and why would he be running up our way at all? Anything going on up there isn't of concern to his rules he's apparently decided to make up.

 

If he was that bothered about safety for players, why did he let play continue with the edges of the pitch already brimming with Watford supporters?

I put £2 on at 150-1 on Betfair when we were 1-0 down with about 10 mins to go, and that would have covered a good chunk of the season tickets so...

Shocking as Watford fans caused the game to be abandoned so they should basically get same punishment as Blackpool will get, Also us & Huddersfield should be compensated with any loss of prize money from winning those games.
