20% sell on clause

And IF Forest paid the full £1.5m upfront that would leave us with about £400k after the signing of Stevie May for £800k, however, that fee rises to £1m so doesn't that leave us with £200k?

Either way, £200k or £400k, which superstar are you expecting to arrive for that amount of money?

Survival mode yet again.  Milan is lucky that Gray is a capable manager and has got the best out of a set of old timers and "also-rans".

Gray is Bob Cratchet to Milan's Ebenezer Scrooge.  Sam Hutchinson is Tiny Tim.

yeah and now they are all energy saving bulbs, Milan doesnt want to fork out for one as they are much more expensive than the old ones. He's sent Paul Aldridge to Wilkinsons to buy a candle

Best make that a multipack of three candles; they need to last the full emergency window. Don't want them burning out too early.

Keeping us in the division is what his aim will always be

Don't see why people get so angry with that

Everyone knows he wants out so someone else can take us further

Why doesn't he say that then.

He spouts his usual rubbish every year about how he is going to improve the squad, buy this player, buy that player yet nothing ever changes.

His lies are wearing a bit thin now.

Has the team not got better each year under Milan? granted this season has been a bit of a farce but there is no denying that on the pitch we have progressed large amounts compared to this time last year.

Plus with the Antonio money, how much did he originally cost when we signed him and where did that money come from?

Milan implied that the spending wouldn't stop at just May.  Sorry Milan lovers but the lovable old rogue is just full of ****.

But he isn't though is he...

He's delivered every single time. Last year, we signed quality players on loan / short term contracts

He said we were going to sign a striker- we signed May

He's said Gray will get further backing, just like he said last season and the previous season...and has delivered on both occasions.

We will sign some loans. Might not be this week....because guess what, the parent club and player have to agree it

Utter gonads....you want another biscuit don't you....good boy

£1.5m sale advertised to the fans as a way to strengthen...we sign an inexperienced but potentially good player....2 weeks later we have no other signings....aye reight bit of business

lol

But then why did MM imply that May won't be the last player we will buy with the Antonio money?  Are Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell PR consultants for the club?  Gray was "hamstrung" before the season started but managed to get the players to perform - he'll have to be a miracle worker to sustain the form we are in now given how thin the squad is in.

Milan is rolling the dice again with the wrong gamble.  Waiting for Premier League loans to become available with an absolute paper thin squad that is quickly being decimated with injuries is operating at less that survival mode IMHO.

I'd like to say that Gray has had the rug pulled from under him but I can't because Milan won't even fork out for the rug!

Exactly, all the sugar-coating Milan comes out with - just ignore it and deal with the fact that he's happy so long as we remain a Championship club. That is simply all he will fund, and that is his choice. Accept it and don't be angry.

I do agree that we haven't recruited enough through the summer again and it's frustrating, presumably this season the takeover caused a lot of those delays. But in this thread you and CanYouJust are stating that MM tells lies, when the fact is every season he has said he will back the manager and he does.

We are not telling lies Bigdan..... but don't let that worry you. Milan is the best user of spin going , he knows how to pull our heart strings and when needed he will dip in and provide a short term solution. If he had said at the end of last year....if I am still here all we will do is aim to survive we would have circled wagons and got on with it but no we have 3 months of rhetoric about pushing on etc

Milan made a statement in the summer and numerous times about giving it a go , really supporting stuart , season long loans as a min.....

None of the above....so far ...has happened
