shandypants
There's only been one player that has a resemblance of Hirsty for me in blue and white and that wad Connor Wickham. Let's not start with that one.

shandypants
George Hirst, 15 years old. Made is debut for the U18s last week. Tall and gangly centre forward, will fill out. George: "Dad" Hirsty: "Yes son" George: "How can I have a stellar career like yours? Hirstly: "Well, it's funny you should mention Stella son........" dan140177
Yeah I can think of a few lads who have high profile fathers in the game and not cut the mustard. Charlie Sheringham and Devante Cole to name two off the top of my head. Lets just forget about George for the time been. lets hope he's a Shaun Wright Phillips then. madfan
Does anybody know how good Hirsty's dad was? Not even Hirsty knew that. LEGEND
mrrodge
Hirst on his day was as good as they come, better than Shearer and that's just the truth, he had more pace and a more clinical finish. He used to do a kind of jump/skip thing that would seem to speed him up in full flight. Strikers are different now a days and the best players in the world are more forwards (Messi, Ronaldo) so no, I don't think we'll ever see the likes of Hirsty again, anywhere. Beholder
God has spoken people ...how the hell do you know he will fill out? stupid statement one day Nicholas Lyndhurst will fill out too. Anyone know how tall he is? I saw him walking next to his dad last year and he is taller than him by a few inches if i remember rightly. He will probably be a different kind of striker because he has a different body shape.

Saw a picture of him stood next to Fryatt and Wickham, and looked similar height to Wickham who's apparently 6' 3" At 15 might well have some growing still left to do too.
