We loan our player out to get him some 'real football' experience. He's done enough in the Dev Squad that now they want to see how he handles the rough and tumble away from the safety net. In order to keep the Dev Squad ticking over, Man City let us have a young centre back for free to have a look at. If he turns into a corker, we have a decent loan for year on our hands, if not then he's filled a space in Dev Squad at no cost, to allow one of ours to go out on loan and gain experience.
