Belgian Blue
Just to simplify things, for our impending trip to the den of iniquity that is Elland Road, how about (to the tune of Quartermaster's Stores): They've got no mates Cos everybody hates Dirty Leeds, Dirty Leeds! apswfcowl
We're going to sing this tomorrow for a while, hope it catches on Eaton. Hoping to influence the band into playing it as well. Lyrics please for anyone wanting to join in?
apswfcowl
I still don't get how this song goes, I know the tune and everything but I don't understand the (oh we got four) and the (then in twenty twelve) bit? Check out link to FC United singing this and all should become clear (40 seconds in - post 113 in this thread). Sing Wednesday words in bold instead of FC United ones in brackets We beat ‘em at Wem-ber-lee (So hoist up the John B's sail) Two-One back in Ninety-Three (see how the main sail sets) On Boxing Day in Seventy-Nine we got four (call for the Captain ashore, let me go home) Then in Twenty-Twelve (I wanna go home) We met back down in League One (I wanna go hoooome) And just like back then (this is the worst trip) We beat ‘em again! (I've ever been on)

Miffed
Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Super Sheffield Wednesday Super Sheffield Wednesday Super Sheffield Wednesday. Easy as owt and should sound good with the band too. by far the best suggestion. Hope this catches on. If done correctly, not overpowering by the band at first, and built up slowly we could be on to a winner. Makes a change to have a good song that doesnt refer to another team and focuses the support on our own club for a change.
Miffed
Sounded great in the second half. Loved how more and more people joined in. People we singing it after the final whistle and outside the stadium after the game.Think this one is definitley going to catch on.

There will be plenty of us singing it before anyone else does against Florist, trust me. This song has stuck.

EatMyGOAAAALLLLL
I'd love a Wednesday rendition of "Blue Sea of Ibrox". Sounds good but without it being played on the tannoy before the game I can't see it happening. Too long and complicated. People were still singing the O'Grady chant in different ways after we'd had him 2 years! That's just my opinion of course. Keep the suggestions coming though :)
