Had a shaky start, gradually grew in confidence, and showed that he could do a job there. A good Championship debut despite Bolton's attempts to unsettle him. alanharper Posted September 22, 2012 Share Posted September 22, 2012 Decent and promising, certainly didn't look out of place - particularly considering it was his first ever game at this level and was against a side with a lot of Premier League experience. DJ said on Thursday that he was some way off the first team and wasn't up to starting yet. One day later and he's in the team. The number of U turns by DJ [except where his mate is concerned] is a little odd and smacks of DJ's head spinning at the moment... The first half though it was difficult because no one was supporting him and was getting doubled up all the time! Antonio didn't do much to help him on his debut! Gardner kept demanding the ball off Kirkland then gave it away in daft positions, Taylor awful defensively and Jones looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights at times. He was a country mile our best player and looked assured both defending, and on the ball. If he carries on like that then Buxton will struggle to regain his place.
