NHOwl
was that the game that we lost 3-2 and it was like a battleground? Yes, I was there with my brother. Left early - which was very unusual for us - because we got separated from our dad and we knew how much it was going to kick-off at the end. lanzaroteowl
was there any fayting? A good old ruck, before and after against the "ointment". Cec Pod got one of their goals if I remember correctly, not many black players in those days so he stood out, that and he was built like a shithouse! luthervanmac
im on that pic somewhere, 77 it was, about 100 of us on train mexbro/donny lads, wild day out. great times!
bigthinrob
Nearly got a right kicking after the game. Got sidelined by a bloody great black guy in a leather coat and his crew (looked like Shaft). We legged it and hid in a cafe for about an hour. Was quite scary at the time. I could go a bit then but he was way outa my league. The rucks in those days were nothing like today. If you got picked off you expected the worst!! Bradford were very territorial and were going to show the big city boys they weren't going to have it all their own way and they sure did. Not MASSIVE crew but well tasty!!!
luthervanmac
we stayed in bradford after game for a few beers, our lot were aged between 18 & 25 and some big tough lads amongst us. you av to remember we'd av charged a rhino at that age. we were drinkin n singin in pubs on way back to station for train to donny. there must have been punch ups till at least 7.30 then police escorted us to train. happy days! Guest PenangOwl
This was when the gates to the visitors "end" got broken down by all the Wednesday fans and a load of us got in for nowt!
Utah Owl
In truth I was asking for it. Went with some mates in a car (which they thoughtfully parked just behind Bradfords Kop!) wearing all my colours (two scarves and a flag draped round me neck). Got seperated after game and was on my own when two kids ran across the road and one punched me at full tilt. I was on the deck and getting a good kicking before I even realised what had happened!
