Wednesday fans being idiots again!

Recommended Posts

The ones being taken to one side after the match were the same ones who were taken to one side as they got off the train earlier on at the station.

They were video'd and made to say their name and address etc ... on camera before they had even done anything wrong.

Treat them like hooligans, and they'll act like it.

About what you would expect from SYP, bet they are dreading the day we get back to the promised land and they have to deal with large proper football crowds just as the Met, Merseyside, and Greater Manchester to name a few have to do on a weekly basis.

Am not condoning any hooligan antics, but have seen SYP and there amaturish incompetence inflame many a minor crowd disturbance into a much more serious sittuation

SYP are one of the best forces in the country at preventing or containing football violence. Hooligan firms hate coming to Sheffield cos they hardly ever get any kind of action.

These lads were more than likely identified as known trouble makers and that's why they were treated as hooligans. Praise to SYP for stopping potential trouble, who knows wot might have happened if they hadn't intercepted them. Hooligans are getting younger, it's no good saying they are just kids cos it's just kids that are stabbing and shooting each other all over the country

The police were recording last night as well. They were at the bottom of our stand in the right hand corner. They kept moving the camera around when the stewards were telling them to.

When we were leaving we noticed that the police had a lot of kids sort of cordoned off behind a police van and some police horses. The police were preventing them from leaving. I wonder if they were the kids who were doing it?

I am also not sure on the legalities of taking photos of kids. My friend kept having her house and garden vandalised by kids, so caught them doing it one day and took photos of them doing the vandalism to the police. She got a warning for taking photos of kids, and was told that if she ever caught them again she would have to film them. Apparently filming is different to taking photos.

did the police manage to warn her without getting off their arses...

or, did they actually have to stand up to do it...

god forbid they didn't have to leave the station...unless they were going to the chinese, or indian...

Really, i must have missed their good performances myself, Crystal Palace must have been an off day ,as somebody who has experience of watching football at home and abroard i have to disagree with your view of the ability to deal with football crowds in numbers.

total gonads,if machine gun wielding police at our airports started videoing and takin names and addresses of all asian travellers there would be uproar but thats what happens to us everytime we fly abroad to an england match, its bang out of order

Totally agree, the number of away matches iv been to and got told 'where Im going' by the police is stupid. How can they tell me where to go ? I'd like to see them tell these Islamic nut cases 'where to go' when there protesting about war etc. Just seems they judge all football fans as hooligans some times, Huddersfield away a prime example. Our minibus was pulled over and we were spoken too like something they had stood in. We were simply going straight to the stadium, despite this we got an escort in (just us) and then all searched when we got off, they found a full can on the back and claimed they could have us all for drinking on the coach, I told him to prove his claim and that it could have been there from a previous journey (to a rugby match, I believe its legal ?) anyway, It didnt go down too well when I embarrassed this copper in front of his work colleagues on the law.

it's the tried and proven method of securing police overtime...

create (someone dropping a crisp packet into) a serious situation, over react, blow it out of all proportion...

then show how double the manning levels are required and justified next time out...

Wot the hell has gun wielding police at airports searching random Asians got to do with SYP containing a bunch of chavs who were more than likely identified as known trouble makers??

Would you rather the police left them to cause havoc

Were these the scary chaps that I saw at Sheffield train station?!?!

I was proper bricking it as I walked past with my food.

Nothing quite as intimidating as a bunch of 5ft 6 teenagers.

there's an arsewipe element starting up amongst our younger support...

they showed their skills last season at rochdale?..throwing into our own support...

and if they are not curbed, they will continue, and flourish...

i've followed wednesday many years now, and seen a bit of action, and done (let's say) things i still smile about...

but i've never been involved in, or seen wednesdayites throwing into their own support...

Apart from any pond life that breaks the law.

I'd be dissapointed if I was in that picture, or my son was, being accused of doing something I didn't do. Which is probably the case for the majority of people pictured.
