This is getting ridiculous now. If manchester police can handle 75 thousand and liverpool and london police can handle their big crowds why the f@@k cant the south yorkshire police.

When was the last time a manchester derby was a 3pm saturday kick off?

Just not bothered...

SYP are flipping useless that's why.

Who can forget their rumblewitted policy of not stopping fans getting on the pitch against Palace?

Who said manchester, liverpool or london derbys. Just saying they can deal with big crowds on an afternoon and dont have to have morning kick offs.

For christ sake in london there can be god knows how many fans from different clubs in a close proximity on a saturday afternoon.

If idiots want to fight they will do it at any time. The police know who they are so let them deal with them. Wasnt it just the other year that the cbeebies were up at daft o,clock to take a pub that no one was in!

Absolutely fookin' ridiculous...Every bloody year ad nauseaum South Yorkshire police p*ss about with this fixture....AS if the fookin' hooligans from either side simply say..."ahh ****..its a Sunday again...and heres me havin' to go to Church instead of kickin' someones teeth down there their throat...I'm fvckin' sick of prattin' about as an altar boy and missing all the fun"

It isn't the number of fans that is the problem you moose it is the likelihood of trouble. Saturday 3pm = 3-4 hours in the boozer and feeling a bit brave. Sunday 12pm = still a bit sleepy and probably hung over = less likely to do something stupid.

change of kick offs will have no effect, wee pipe heads will scrap regardless. should be saturday 3pm so we can celebrate after.

You could also say that people will get less drunk after because people have work the next day.

But it doesn't change anything. People who fight after or before these matches go looking for fights. It could be 10am on a Tuesday and it still wouldn't make a difference.
