lincolnowl
Although service to both was poor, Heff really lived up to his "invisible man" tag....but for different reasons. Again as a defence, the service was dire. Madine was fouled 95% of time, but works hard. we need movement and pace alongside him.

Urgently need some pace across the midfield, players who can, and will get up and down the field. Madine is slow, but links play up well, unfortunately the players he's linking up with are even slower or at the end of their careers, we have to get some real pace in the summer. JDV
Only his second league start this season I believe and against the team that has conceded the least amount of goals this season at home (10 goals in 18 games). Unfair to write him off just yet. Nearly popped up for one towards the end . Give him and Madine a handful of full 90 minute games together to possible form some sort of partnership. dorian gray
when i heard megson wasn't going 4-5-1 tonight, i thought of all the places, and against all the teams, and times not to go mob handed away from home in midfield...and look where we were lacking... Guest maltaowl
Dissapointed for him. However would be more dissapointed if he was dropped after only a 2nd league start.
Dan™
Has to start every game until the end of the season, barring injury, he needs a chance to prove himself to see if he can play a part next season.
fletch3181
Never got the service from midfield, had to come deep to pick something up.still thought he did enough to warrant another start.megson has got to start with him and madine more often. Hawkeye
echo the views that he needs to be given a few games, difficult to judge him based on todays game - Southampton dominated us across the park and we created nothing for heff or madine. Brammy
He was rubbish A very informed and well articulated opinion there. Two points to make on that... 1) He didn't have the service today and at least when he did get the ball he managed to find a Wednesday shirt 95% of the time. 2) flip off and come back when you can string a full sentence together. Guest Bald Owl
He played well without the ball but because we defended too deep he was coming for everything in the middle of the pitch. His touch was good as usual and you could see like against Posh he was trying to create links but nobody could get out quick enough. Everybody has screamed for him all season now for flip sake give him chance, here we go again because somebody has not played like Messi when they've had a game their poo poo? Jesus flipping Christ! He scored Tuesday and had one disallowed and we looked a different side when he came on. Stop this nonsense some of you and look at the positives, we defended better than we have done all season and looked solid, and O'Donnell had a great game, the defence has been the problem, enough said. Guest wayne foster
Agree 100% with Bald Owl. Heff needs a run of games and in my humble opinion Madine could be a legend at SWFC if he fulfills the potential he has shown so far.
Guest wayne foster
He reminds me of a young Mark Bright. He holds the ball up well and looks up to find somebody to lay it off to. He doesn't choose the easy option of just flickin it on and hoping there's someone there. When he's laid it off he doesn't stand about, he is on his toes either looking for an early ball back or looking to get into the box for a cross. He is confident enough to keep the ball at his feet until someone becomes available which usually results in him being fouled. With the right partner he will be a real asset to us, IMO
davey_wells
He's the only striker we have on the books who chases. I hope Megson gives him and Madine all the games til the end of the season together to get a partnership going - they are by far our best bet but just didn't seem to read each other much - only time together will do that. jasper
I believe he is the equivalent of jamie cureton who has scored a few for exeter this season, only difference has had starts in a much better team than wednesday.
