Yesterday just goes to show why we don't need a brass band at Hillsborough

Get all those lads, that were singing all match (even through half time) together in the same section at Hillsborough and we don't need The Band

Would be great visually as well if it was near the pitch

The only tune

That I could play

Was fornicate the band

And the IRA

We all hate Leeds scum

Totally agree. I'm all for the drum but why on earth anybody thinks we need trumpets at a football match is beyond me.

After years its starting to look like people have finally had enough.

Lose the IRA reference in that song and you're on to a winner.

What's the feeling in the back/middle of the kop about the band these days ?

Are they ready for a change ?

Not sure if you heard, but last home game the middle got pissed off with constant ly being drowned out by the band. Every attempt at singing ended up with the band playing over them, at one bit they were blatently playing different songs, seemingly on purpose.

In the end the singers kept waiting for the band to stop playing before starting the song again.

Many people commented on here and Facebook about "how rude the band were"

Yesterday's atmosphere was brilliant especially at half time.

We should ditch the band, let them go to Leeds Rhinos & England and leave us alone.

question is how do we go about getting rid?? Its all good and well talking on here about how they spoil the matchday experience but how does action happen. Edited by Warringtonowl

stop trying to force people onto the kop all the time...

you were pushing for it the end of last season on here...

"people should be made do this", and "these'll have to move from here and sit elsewhere"...

you got into trouble at games over it, and had to be restrained...

and now wanting to be near the pitch?

where are all the 'kiddies' going to go, they're usually near the front behind the goal...

and you want your choir 'effin' n' blindin' in the 'kiddies' area?

'priceless'...

I don't think it would work straight away. The atmosphere will come in time but fans would have to get used to it. If they were barred for a few games I beleive it would only back up the band and the band lovers point that they are needed.

A standing/singing section is what's needed imo. My preference would be to ban the band for good, but I just can't see it happening anytime soon. They don't beling at a football match in the first place. Also as others have said they play over songs and are detrimental to the atmosphere if anything.

when i was young and had less sense...

i bought a flute for 50p...

the only tune that i could play...

 

so you bought a musical instrument...

and played it...

yet, you wish to stop others expressing themselves in the same way, shocking...  WTF:
