We’ve decided to take a coach.

Is it just over 20 Miles . A similar journey down south would take 30mins .

matthefish2002
It's the Penistone Line. It's does take its time to Huddersfield with stopping at about 20 stops and serves some rural places. But also passes through some of the most beautiful countryside locally.

wisewoodowl
10 hours ago, PortlandOwl said: Quicker via Leeds. It is, but those tickets are more expensive. 08:35 direct is £3.10, 08:48 change at Wakefield is 12.50, 09:21 change at Leeds is £23.50; similar differences for the return tickets. An off-peak day return is £12.60 but cannot be used on trains that go via Leeds. As I posted earlier, we're taking a coach because the ASLEF overtime ban that weekend is likely to result in train cancellations.
