Like I said it takes time. He was never going to sort everything out in 12 months. If he’s still making the same mistakes next season then your argument for change might be stronger than it is at the moment?

I said earlier on here that it would extremely ruthless to let him go. Our supporters are on the generous , understanding side and it would not fit. And we finished up with a play off position. We all like a sincere trier.

I worry that with the budget he seems to have, DM will continue to do well in this league but that ought not to be difficult. Finishing sixth or fifth next season would mean giving him another season and so on.

But why did we fail against Sunderland? It was not one of those things, we made mistakes and Neil didn't.

We have to get out of league 3. Despite the worthy teams and managers in this league, with the biggest squad and biggest budget and our place in the game, we have to be determined to put promotion above everything . My main worry is that DC is not easy to work with and we cannot be sure that other managers would be as willing to come as DM was and put up with the one man regime we have become. Whatever their virtues or failings, Pulis couldn't agree with him, Bruce probably couldn't and Cowley and Cook ( OK they may not be great managers) certainly revealed they thought they had been either mishandled or were put off.

You're measuring him against himself.

Here's the graph and trendline since we were relegated from the Prem.

He's doing no worse than those before him.

But spent the best part of £200m+

i bet we spend a lot less in the previous 15 years.

but great DC is equally as poo as the other chairman we had since losing our EPL, but presumably Allen, Milan and the rest didnt spent nearly a 1/4 of a billion pounds to go backwards.

It's his money.

Using cherry picked dates to say we're going down and it's his fault, when we're exactly where we've been for the last 20 years is a bit of a misrepresentation.

No under DC we have got worse season on season and that just in the pitch.

Some people really can hear nothing against DC.

lolWTF:

Can hear nothing? Are we any worse off league wise than in most of the last 20 years?

He's done enough stupid stuff without people needing to pile on with cherry picked stuff to make him look worse.

Its not all his money,we have lost 14 million quid a Year TV money, thats 28 Million of the Clubs money including this season...WE also now dont own the ground, and have to pay 2 Million a Year 'rent' isnt it?.....

He owns the club, not us.

Wednesdays losses are his losses.

Mr Chansiri has not always backed his managers.

recall Carlos saying that we would not be capturing any £10M players and I thought at the time we were not going to get in real quality,  yet ultimately we proceeded to spend a lot more than £10M over the following years on average players who came in on low fees but high wages. Once CC had his team functioning well,  with Forestieri starring, recruitment was not directed properly.

Spectacularly we hit the financial skids and we were unable to back Jos and when he arrived he was given only Pelupessy, Monk was not backed, Bruce wasn't and neither was Pulis . January 2021 saw virtually nobody coming in when we were trying to avoid relegation. Neil Thompson was a powerless caretaker during that January.

Erm thinking you are misunderstanding being back and having that budget spent poorly

and then being backed and not being able to due to restrictions

chansiri maybe a lot of things but you can’t say he has not backed his managers and invested into the starting 11

questioning how poor he’s been at that to get us into the mess is one thing but spent he has

Chansiri has backed his managers when he's been able, but the great bulk of that backing went to Carlos, and in Carlos he backed the wrong horse.

Apart from Bruce and Pulis (if he'd had different players to work with), Channers' selection of managers has been very poor.

Bruce and Pulis were both tried-and-tested, our "Alex Neils" if you will, but by the time of their arrival the cupboard was bare.

If either of them had had Carlos' resources to work with then I'd have fancied us to go up.

As it is, Carlos first blew the money and then blew the play-offs so here we all are.

Plip-plop.
