1961OWL
Stinks a bit to me. Alexander had done a good job and I’m not sure how much more he could have done. This could all get very messy if Scholes doesn’t do well. Will his mates sack him? Will he sack himself?
TheEnchanter
Think Alexander walked after a disagreement.

Not likely to be taking the job permanently according to reports and the it would have been the youth development manager taking caretaker charge, not Scholes, but he is currently isolating. Still a strange decision to part company with Alexander, currently in the top 6 with 9 points from 5 games. Apparently the style of play has been cited as a reason. SiJ
Have always respected Neville as a pundit and tv personality, but can't help but feel he's exposed his true colours in the last week. He's a very vocal supporter of project power grab.

He's a very vocal supporter of project power grab. It's easy to criticise the EPL suggestion as a fan of a team who have ambitions of getting to the EPL and feel it's not that far away. But for teams in league 2 who have literally no chance (or even ambition) of getting there, why would they not support it? It offers a lifeline they otherwise don't have. 2 Just not bothered... Cambridge Owl
By all accounts Scholes' appointment is temporary. They have their eyes set on a more experienced manager. Just biding their time untill it can come to fruition. The waiting game ! ! !

He came through the academy there too didn't he? Would have had Joyce and Harrison as coaches and even been part of the same group as the owners?
