An Oirish/Celt flavour to this pub with a menu to suit and Sue, the landlady, who likes to see bellies filled with a good Irish sausage or two. Super size screen with sky Sports, this is another belter just a 15-20 min skip from the ground. Address: 75 Digbeth · B5 6DY Birmingham.

MATCHDAY FACTS

Birmingham City may still be without goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak, who missed Tuesday's draw with Reading after picking up a calf strain. Full-back Rhoys Wiggins could feature for the first time since joining on loan from Bournemouth on 31 August.

Sheffield Wednesday are without banned midfielder Sam Hutchinson, who was sent off in the win over Bristol City. Glenn Loovens could play for the first time this season following ankle surgery, but Daniel Pudil is a doubt.

    ▪    Birmingham have lost their last two home league games against Sheffield Wednesday, who are unbeaten in five meetings with Blues.

    ▪    The Owls are looking for their first win on the road since 2 April, having not won in nine matches, in all competitions.

    ▪    Blues, who have kept three consecutive clean sheets in the league, have not had four successive shut-outs since October 2011.

    ▪    There have been four red cards in Wednesday's last three league games, two to the Owls, two for the opposition.

    ▪    Clayton Donaldson has scored Birmingham's last three Championship goals, two of them from the penalty spot.

KING CARLOS’ PEARLS OF WISDOM

“I must tell you, it’s something we don’t want to happen. We prefer to start winning the games. But we must live with the reality and not the things we wish. The reality is that in the last three games we were losing all three and we turned it around. First in Brentford, we had six or seven clear chances to score and then Brentford scored after an unlucky situation. But we returned to 1-1 and could have won that game .It was a point that changed everything because in that game, the team showed their heart.

Then Wigan, we were losing 1-0 but turned to 2-1, the fans were amazing also in the game to change it. Again in this very strange Bristol City game to us, because we were losing 2-0 at the break, we believed, we did our changes and the players and fans were fantastic. We are in one period where things aren’t what we want but we have the heart to change everything. This is very good to a coach and to a team, especially from three games.”
