Yorkshires number one!

Apparently people in Hull get very upset if you say they are from Humberside.

They certainly consider themselves to be from Yorkshire.

Still: Sheffield number 3 or possibly 2, er depending on Boro.

Boro is North yorkshire , hull is East Riding of yorkshire

Hull have never been able to decide where they are placed but most reluctantly accept that we are stuck with them as part of Yorkshire.

Do the people of Middlesbrough regard themselves as Yorkshire folk? Little or no reference at all to Yorkshire on their council website pages or on the official visit Middlesbrough site.

Everyone in East Yorkshire gets annoyed at Humberside though I get more annoyed if someone thinks I'm from Brid or hull! Pissed me of some companies address systems say north Humberside despite it not exsisting for decades

I loved near boro for years and older folks class themselves as Yorkshire and the younger as north east

Have a look at Erismus's posts on his Boro fan in peace thread.  It might give you a clue.

So the one Boro fan that has come on to suck up to us has delcared himself a Yorkshireman so that's conclusive! Aside from the fact his local Radio Teeside never has any coverage of the Yorkshire teams.

Who else would they cover. York is close but they've got their own station.

Actually York is not that close but Middlesbrough is in the middle of nowhere. They cover Yorkshire cricket.

Try listening for their cricket coverage.  You do know that up to 1996 Yorkshire used to play home matches at Acklam Park, Middlesbrough.  That might give you a clue.

Neither is Sheffield using that logic.   lol

sssshhhhh  lol

they also played in Hull till 1990 so that's not officially in Yorkshire either

So in Conclusion Sheffield,Middlesbrough and Hull aren't in Yorkshire.
