Countless players with much more experience than Lloyd Isgrove have had below par debuts. It certainly doesn't mean they can be written off after one game! Anyone who witnessed Vidic and Evra's debuts for Manchester United will tell you that. They were bloody awful, but I suppose Fergie should have flogged them straight back, as "pro's shouldn't need time to settle in"?
