Liverpool are set to do battle with Everton for Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero, according to reports today. The 27-year-old could leave Sampdoria in January and with both Merseyside clubs on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, he could fit the bill. Romero has made 54 appearances for Argentina, he's been with Sampdoria since 2011, but his contract is set to expire in the summer. Brendan Rodgers recently dropped first-choice goalkeeper in favour of Brad Jones before an injury to the Australian saw Mignolet return to the side.
