Add this to our complete lack of full backs and Burnley must be rubbing their hands together in anticipation. Palmer and Floro not even up to L1 standards at full back. Marine just seems to get worse each season. No creativity in centre mid and a reliance on pace with no end product. To be fair you are right, it's easy to forget some of the better players we've had on loan. But my point was more to do with the fact that it'll be loans I imagine. Not permanent signings. If you can fill gaps in your side with higher quality than you could normally afford permanently then I don't see the problem with that either. I don't think we are talking about half a first team of loans, either. Just a centre mid and a striker. Loan signings have played enormous hands in us staying in leagues and getting promoted out of leagues. I will never understand this strange attitude people have about bringing loan players in.
