Daz
I remember when we played Blackpool away in the FA Cup and there were reports about one of our fans falling through the stand. We made representations to Blackpool council, but to no avail with them saying their SAG were satisfied that there were no safety issues inside the ground, or outside with the reported crushing that took place outside the turnstiles. Just been reading another forum and there were comments that it was likely that allocations for away fans at Blackpool would be restricted (which will most likely affect us) because ..... a Cardiff fan fell through it couple of weeks back. You really couldn't make this up and time for us to bring back our (clearly legitimate concerns) about safety at that ground.
alanharper
Even with a lower allocation, that doesn't mean nobody will fall through it again - somebody could go through a weak bit regardless of how many other people are in the stand. Blackpool should spend some of their Premier League parachute payments on bringing their ground up to Championship standard.

Thurnscoe_OWL
Blackpool should be forced to bring their ground up to standards and if they refuse they should be relegated and prevented from playing any higher than league
smhouston
The away stand is an absolute joke. They're more than willing to spend millions on the rest of ground, yet deemed fit to spend handful on a wooden stand with stupid poles in the way of the view, and a chuffin burger van for refreshments. @owlstalk
So what happened to the group that came on here to gather information to sort it all out ? were they not successful? Owlstalk Shop
Guest intercity0wl
Blackpool as a club have done nothing but lie to every body over incidents that occured last season at Bloomfield Road, weather it was to do with the falling through the the floor by one of our supporters, or the Actions or language of their Stewards towards our supporters in general, ie their ejection of our supporters on nothing more than a whim. A horrid little club, run by a horrid little West coast Buisness man IMO

Utah Owl
Daz if that has happened to other fans then it is clear evidence of negligence with no possible defence. Strongly suggest this is followed up through the Football Supporters Trust to find out just how sever the problem has been and then report on to H & S. If Blackpool find the stand threatened with closure then they will certainly act.

Guest intercity0wl
Tbf though our away end is a disgrace. Maybe in appearance, but after all the History at S6 i would put money on it being safe.
Guest intercity0wl
Just seen this article published today, Jesus christ, have a look at the amounts Oyston states the club made from their brief premier stay, obviously Away supporter safety is not anywhere near the top of his list of things to spend a bit of it on. http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/football/blackpool-fc/oyston-there-will-be-a-premier-league-legacy-1-5383464 Edited February 6, 2013 by intercity0wl
