Guest Bedders Posted October 25, 2012 Share Posted October 25, 2012 (edited) Last season we spent sod all but put together some good players and than added real quality through the loan market That was the difference for us last year, the quality of our loan players, no one could get near us. Again this year, we haven't spent much and although we've made a few mistakes, we've signed some good players. Its no coincidence that our two best players, or the ones most like to make a difference, are Barkley and Bothroyd. Another two like that, a striker and perhaps someone with a left foot, and we can start to climb the table. To be honest.....I don't agree. I think loans with more experience are needed.......... And another thing is we can't keep getting strikers in we've got 5 already.....and only one is scoring goals & he was dropped last night! You can't just keep filling up the squad with strikers until you find one that scores.....thats poor recruitment........ Squad of 30 with 25 strikers.....yipee we have found one that scores........na need to be more savvy than that! Not easy though who do you buy? Change it before its too late Totally agree mate.....but MM wont want to pay wages of 4 or 5 strikers who aren't any good to the team. I think he'd want to balance the books & ship out before we recruit. That's where the fun begins........
