What a bag of shi t e you sold us there!!! lol

no wonder plymouth went bust after we fobbed him off to them for 500k after just 15 or so games.

Can anyone think of anymore players transferred between the two of our clubs?

I know you had darren purse off us, how did you rate him?

MacLean did the business for us but then suffered with injury. He wanted to stay and the manager wanted to keep him but the board in their wisdom didn't want to give him a deal, instead eventually opting to fund the highly prolific and ever present FJ9.

MacLean probably got a bit disillusioned at this stage and never got his best form back though he has recently done ok in the lower levels and is now scoring goals again in Scotland.

As for Darren Purse - Thanks!

Maclean never did a thing after leaving us. Plymouth spending a club record fee of £500k must have been a key part of why they ended up in such a mess.

Ironically they also now have Darren Purse, who was on very high wages for us and averaged the highest blunder per minute ratio in our club's history.

Steve MaClean was great for Wednesday and was treated disgracefully by the shower who were attempting to run the club at the time.

A natural finisher especially of pens and tap-ins ( that's for the numpties ).

For all those who like to slag him off, when we got the penalty at Cardiff were you shouting ' no let Talbot take it'?

Can't believe the amount of people who say he was poor for us and only scored pens. I would have thought that at least 75% of the penalties he took were for fouls on him. If he was so poor why did other teams constantly feel the need to foul him? It wasn't just pens either, he scored some really good goals, important goals as well. When he got injured in 2005 we very nearly managed to slip out of the play-off places. He scored the goals that got us up and there was no one else in the squad at that time capable of doing so.

The same shower who received 60% backing against two votes of no confidence? Oh happy days.

I think he scored a hat trick when Wednesday thrashed Doncaster Rovers at their old Belle Vue ground. This same game was Kenwyne Jones' first for Wednesday. Ken did not score but went on to set a goal scoring record at the club. McLean is now at St John

stone. Correct anyone ?
