i used to be sc_owl
£1,000,000 isn't a lot of money for a decent Championship striker at this time of the year. Be better off using the money on wages, or to strengthen other areas of the squad.

oh_weds_we_love_you
Hasn't it already been decided we are going down the Spanish root of playing 4-6-0? So, why buy a striker?!
camffiti
Without the goals & assists of Marshall, Antonio & possibly Reda (if Mattock starts), we're in need of a goalscoring striker imo ... very hard to find for a £1mil ALF and spend the change on Antonio Sorry, I didn't realise the OP said £3mil Edited July 2, 2012 by camffiti
Guest Sniper1
Weird that this thread just popped up, talking about this in the rumour thread. That Alf business does make you think, why? 1m - Jermaine Beckford/David Nugent. However wages would kill us.

gurujuan
Might have missed the boat with Franny J, isn't he trialing with Rochdale? As I said in the other thread, Ross McCormack looks the best available for under a million

Paul Aldridge is the best football negotiator ever, ever, ever. Even FG agrees with me on that.

TheEnchanter
I think we could get some decent strikers for 350k max anyway.
Juror8
Agree with McCormack. Otherwise, Lita. Laudrup has instructed Swans board he wants playing squad of 22 rather than current 34, so they'll be desperate to cut peripheral players, and you'd think he'd fall into that category. Wages would be steep, but with it being Swansea, wouldn't expect him to be on a 'Premiership' wage. He'd give us, up front, what he haven't had for a long time, electric pace.
