  4. I think this sort of thing sums them up - what do they call it "Bladesmen Culture"
  5. In the days before social media meltdowns ... how fans used to their anger #OnThisDay 60 years ago - #SWFC 0 @AVFCOfficial0 - David Layne was given his marching orders sparking pitch invasions, rattle waving & a hail of cushions ! #WAWAW #Hellsborough
  6. Fast Forward to 9 minutesin of this Wrexham season review to see some wonderful old film of Big Jack's 2nd game in charge away at Wrexham - Tynan goal and Heroics from Chris Turner in the goals earned what looked a lucj=ky point as Wednesday remained rooted to the bottom of the 3rd Division.
  7. 12th October 1867 - A first practice match for the newly formed Wednesday Football Club - all these long year and we still haven't got it right !
  8. #OTD 45 years ago - 8th Oct 1977, What a momentous day & as important Wednesday goals go , the one scored by Tommy Tynan must be right up there. Big Jack watches #SWFC, bottom of the 3rd , beat Chesterfield 1-0 and becomes manager of the Wednesday club of Sheffield #RIPBigJack
  9. No messing about from Tony Kay ! #OnThisDay in 1962 - a great 4-2 away victory for Wednesday at Leyton Orient in front of 20,125 #swfc goals from Colin Dobson, Tony Kay, David Layne & John Quinn.
  10. As Joe Ashton said : Danny's a lovely fellow, a wonderful fellow...but he couldn't handle the big players in my opinion. "
  11. One of the more memorable matches from that Awful season - notable for quite a bit of trouble as I recall. Also notable for home debuts for Colin Harvey & Bobby Brown and the League debut for 18 year old Forest Right back Viv Anderson ! Wednesday goals Craig & Joicey. One of Forest's goals by that pesky Ian Bowyer returning to haunt the Wednesday. All in front of a massive 15,295. I line I am happy never to read again.
