  1. Been reading this all season. It's clearly not true. We have a mid table side that effectively started the season with a 10 point deduction due to the ineptitude of Xisco.
  2. Get the sentiment but Vaulks wasn't one of these players.
  3. If any single result does for us this is likely to be the one.
  4. Shades of Blackburn 1980? The best away day (night) of my life... ....until tomorrow
  5. Be terrible if so. Given our defensive shambles at times he could've made all the difference.
  6. Sorry, but given a full season, this squad would've been good enough. The fact that for the first 20% of it we were being managed by an absolute cretin has made all the difference in the world. This squad isn't good enough to give the rest of the teams in the league a 10 point head start but without that it would've managed just fine imo.
  7. Other than we need West Brom to be safe in a play off spot by the time we play em. (Don't want much )
  8. Been sad enough to have a look. And Stoke. And Blackburn. They're all s hittin themselves
  9. It's insane. Sitting here looking at the table, at all the permutations based on the matches remaining for the teams at the bottom. It is so in our hands. (Like a fkin 12 yr old kid.... I'm 58!!)
  10. Haven't been today. Was he poor again? No idea why he keeps getting a start.
  11. I think if nothing else we're going to need his experience and leadership for this run in. If we're going to survive in this division they're going to be invaluable. But sadly you're right, he is coming towards the end of his career and he's the one that's made us tick for a few seasons now, (Christ, he nearly kept us up when he had Pelupessy 'playing' in his shadow all season.) Going to be very difficult to replace imo.
  12. He looks tired to me and certainly not the player he was. But he's got a better football brain than most of the rest of them put together. I think Vaulks looks less of a player without Bannan next to him as well. If Palmer's the answer to our lack of midfield options then we really are in trouble and Momo Diaby looks nowhere near sharp enough for me. Who would you play in front of BB to see the rest of the season out?
  13. Very true but after the last two matches I thought we looked incredibly nervous yesterday. A win would've put us 2 points clear and done us more good than any sports psychologist could. The rest of the season is going to be all about bottle. Going to be very 'interesting'
