Just got a good manager & group of players.

The budget has gone up a bit but not massively.

A local firm have chucked a bit of cash in but there are other clubs in the top 5 with a much bigger budget.

So Chelmsford City finished second in the Vanarama South to set up their almost annual go at the play offs. Unfortunately they must be the worst team in history in them; in eight play off campaigns in the South they've only got to the final once and then they screwed it up by managing to lose against ten men.

This one is different, however. As six teams go into the play offs they don't play in the first game and will play either Bath City or Braintree Town at home in the second. If they win that they get a home final.

Never have a better chance than this!

As sure as night follows day you can guarantee Chelmsford City will bugger up the play offs and they did. Despite getting two goals in injury time to take it to extra time.

Oh well. Always next year.

Hadn't really took any notice of the playoffs but noticed that the final is today and either Bromley or Solihull Moors will be in the Football League next season. That's going to spoil a few 92-club memberships.

Bet few in the West Midlands expected Birmingham City and Solihull Moors to be potentially just one division apart!

Bromley 2-1 up.  Only been watching the second half but the quality is poor - Bromley take the lead after Solihull get caught out playing it short and give a pen away.

Grew up in Bromley and went to many a match in my teenage years when they were in the Ryman League. Club, stadium and infrastructure is unrecognisable today from those days and have been really well managed on and off the field for a long time. Honestly think Bromley is a far better run club than Wednesday... which is frankly embarrassing.

Was at Wembley today - great result and really pleased for them.

Marine won away at Macclesfield on Monday to get promoted to National League North. They'll be in the same league as Scod canyonhorpe next season by the looks of it.

Bromley always makes think of the Dave Roberts books abut supporting Bromley as man and boy.
Think he wrote 3 all together, really recommenced them, funny and well written.

Sadly he died a couple of years ago so missed out on Bromleys greatest day at the weekend.

Yeah, they're a good read. I think the club has named a part of the stadium after him.
