Top 10 Players In The Prem

Recommended Posts

Depends what you base it on really.

If it's contributions over the last few seasons, then I think it's relatively straightforward.

If we are basing on this season and how you rate certain players than it becomes a bit more difficult.

Think it's fair to say that Kevin De Bruyne gets on every list.

I'm going to do it roughly by position because I'm awkward:-

GK - Allison

RB - Walker

CB - VVD

LB - Robertson

LW - Son

CDM - Kante

CM - KDB

AM - Bernardo Silva

RW - Salah

CF - Kane

I'd probably have Cancelo above Walker right now.

Other than that, I'd probably agree with most of your choices.

I'd agree with putting Cancelo in over Walker and I would probably put Rodri in ahead of Kante these days.

Gundogan is so underrated its criminal.

Captains City and gets 12-15 goals a season.  Not as gifted as Bernardo,  but certainly more effective,  and Iovd Bernardo.

Must admit I was looking for someone to replace Bernado.

Quality player but for some reason I don't feel like he is consistent enough... Although the stats probably says he is.

Bruno Fernandes would have been a good shout on his first showing at Man Utd. But last season he went missing.

Gundogan is like the most brilliant steady eddie of a team you will ever see. Just a very gifted, technical footballer who works his knackers off too. He's an understated leader in that side as well, hence why he's often captain.

Bernardo, on fire, is probably only behind De Bruyne in terms of an attacking midfielder. Outrageously talented footballer.

based on contribution over the last year or two and where they are right now...

Ederson - he edges it over Allison for me, not sure why but he just does.

Cancelo - cannot stand Trent, decent on the ball but a bomb scare defensively

Van Dijk

Dias

Cucarella - was superb for Brighton last season, too easy to pick Robertson and over the last 12 months has probably been the better player

KDB - best player in the league

Rodri - best holder in the league

Thiago

Son

Kane

Salah

All too easy to fill it up with City and Liverpool players unfortunately, bench would have players like Bernado, Kuluveski, Bruno, Walker, Robertson, Rice etc

City and Liverpool have been so dominant in the last few years, it's really hard to look at too many outside of them.

Son and Kane are one of the few duos outside of those two who seem to consistently perform pretty much every week and do so near the top of the table.

I struggle to think of anyone for Man U who has been brilliant season after season in recent times. Don't think anyone has for Arsenal, though that may well change now. Might be a few shouts for Chelsea (Reece James is a shout for RB, Kante for his overall contribution in the last several years), but that would be about it.

I do think Declan Rice has the potential to be a top, top player and in the conversation before too long.
