The same 'player' that played no part in the match, you could say had no place being on the pitch neither, a situation he put himself into.

Of course he will get jail time...anything else would be one rule for ordinary idiots and another for privileged wealthy ones. We have a honest and fair judiciary so no doubt they are already preparing a comfy cell.

Sheffield Wednesday: More than 150 Owls fans arrested over football-related offences since 2014

There have been more than 150 football-related arrests involving Sheffield Wednesday fans since 2014, with public disorder being the most common alleged offence.

Between 2014 and 2021, arrests involving Sheffield Wednesday supporters at any ground total 156.

Cheers, hey you're better than Wikipedia 😀

Or put another way, 22 people a year.

Or roughly 0.5 per match.

I reckon in the context of 20 odd thousand at matches that amounts to hardly any issues whatsoever.

Also ‘public disorder’ is anything the old bill want it to be.

Half the time, same ‘public disorder’ if it was in other contexts wouldn’t even be addressed.

Half those clowns that block motorways in the name of changing the world, don’t get ‘public order’ penalties, they get asked if they’re ok and do they want a cup of tea. Because it’s football you get a horse running at you and a smack over the head with a truncheon and become a ‘public order’ crime statistic.

Notice words ‘breaching an injunction’.

Means they were repeat offenders who were only finally nicked after multiple warnings for identical offences.

Wonder how many football fans get the same leniency & previous warnings before they are on the ‘disorder’ stats.

Err, let me guess.    None maybe!!

Simple answer is for people to stop being bellends at football I guess

If they’re not a bellend they won’t get into trouble

If they don’t get into trouble they won’t have to cry like a baby about being treat unfairly

And football as a whole wins
