Only Lee Gregory has a better league apps/goals ratio than Hirst this season.

Lee Gregory

10 league goals in 21 league appearances = 0.32 goals a game

Berahino

6 goals in 27 league appearances = 0.22

Hirst Jnr

8 league goals in 36 league appearances = 0.22 goals a game

Kamberi

4 league goals in 22 league appearances = 0.18

Paterson

6 league goals in 35 league appearances = 0.17 goals a game

Sow

2 league goals in 13 league appearances = 0.15 goals per game

A league appearance could last 90 minutes or 1 minute, though - average minutes per goal is generally regarded as a more useful stat...

Windass: 81 mins per goal

Berahino: 177 mins per goal

Sow: 217 mins per goal

Gregory: 233 mins per goal

Kamberi: 233 mins per goal

Hirst: 236 mins per goal

Paterson: 367 mins per goal

The problem we've got is attracting anyone useful to a club with issues.

I'd have agreed with you up until recently

With Chansiri in the background (Where he should be) leaving things alone and with the majority of issues and restrictions being lifted it's way better than it was

Until recently this was true. But right now We look as one of best destinations for most players that can't get guaranteed starting 11 spot for Championship clubs.

If We don't fu*k it up We should become even more atractive destinations next season.

But to get back on topic, most League One clubs would be very happy to have George Hirst on their books.

And hopefully long may it continue but you can't help thinking with our club there's another 'didn't see that coming' moment around the corner.
