So Then, The Keepers

Recommended Posts

I've really noticed a huge gap in the quality of goalkeeping in this league compared to the championship. Most keepers at this level seem to have several mistakes in them a game.

BPF is clearly a very good keeper for this level and was superb last night. However if he wants to become a regular at a higher level he needs to become a lot more consistent and cut down on the silly mistakes.

BPF is a level above both Wildsmith and Dawson.

Some fans will never forgive him though for having a bad week where he cost us 3 matches running.

3

matches

running

say that out loud to yourself a few times, and ask yourself again if he is a good goalie or not?

Does it make a difference if it’s 3 matches in a season or 3 matches in a row?

He’s made mistakes, but what keeper doesn’t. There’s a reason why he’s on loan to a league 1 club.

Made some great saves but if George Hirst had not dived he would have been at fault there for a goal and in the first half he fumbled that ball in the air inexplicably.

So even in a MOM performance he narrowly avoided two absolute howlers.

When good keepers get MOM they don't have those near misses.

Eh!?
