Surely if the same players who got 3rd, suddenly drop to 17th a few months later - then there has got to be issues around tactics?

Are you seriously telling me these players just downtooled for no reason?

And if they’ve got a history of that, then why would have they bothered achieving 3rd place in the first place?

fletcher fit 😁 fletcher out injured 😭.

time will tell, as it's very highly likely he'll be here next term, much to the annoyance of the backstabbers.

People critical of Monk are 'backstabbers'?

no i think we lost one or a couple before....on his return was he 100% from the start? i imagine not.

Just crazy to think losing 1 player would see us drop 14 places

So we were shiit before Christmas then, just with Fletcher lol

we were doing exceptionally well in third, perhaps a little high for our squad, fletcher was carrying the attack, but confidence and morale was high.

once fletcher was injured and our goals dried up, morale fell off, so did results.

it's not hard to understand, but it's awfully difficult for some of you to accept.

It doesn't bode well that Monk's approach fell apart with the loss of one player. Even Jos managed to get results without Fletcher playing all the time and arguably had less to work with given that Murphy, Iorfa, Borner, Harris are all regulars and have done reasonably well.

jos's squad had joao, did he have hooper?, and the list of failing forwards were all a couple of years younger then, so hopefully not as inept as they are by now.
