Morgan Fox ...

Recommended Posts

Steady in defence today but he’s like a cricketer who can’t catch under the high ball when going forward. A few chances today to exploit the space in front of him and attack and or support Harris but didn’t have the confidence.

Another time, Fessi begging for the ball from him in space in midfield but instead he plays a hopefully lob forward into the channel.

Bang average and basically I don’t think he would get into any top 10 Championship side. At right back, Odd-job on todays showing would be lucky to get a game in league 2.

Talking of left backs

Your deity signed Julian Bennett, twice.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

Least hes never given two penalties away in one game............

Hes an average championship LB,wo can raise his game occasionally, theres worse and theres better,Im sure if we did a bit of homework,we could aquire a an upgrade for not much dosh from the lower divisions.

Ive no problem with Fox but you always look to upgrade wherever you can

Palmer aside, Fox is clearly the best LB at the club at the moment. It's to his credit he's put the nightmare performances of last season behind him (and he was far from the only one!)..... it's a shame that certain members of the fanbase can't put it behind them as well and be pleased for a guy who has worked hard to turn things round, rather than continue to slag him off.

On another matter and thinking about Matt Penney's performances when he first broke into the team; before his confidence was infected by team mates, apparently devoid of self-belief and basic organisational skills; before his injury, I have to ask if his loan to St Pauli may not have been premature and that he may have been a better bet than Iorfa or Odubajo to compete for the LB spot??

Well said.

If we switched to a 343,Penny would be more of an asset,as his defensive sides not great
