Birley Owl 1867 Posted April 23, 2019 Share Posted April 23, 2019 Our match up the league and United's promotion to the Prem (and Cardiff last season) has shown that all you need to be successful in this league is a decent manager and a solid defence that doesn't concede much. Yep. Pick a system that works. Sign players who fit the system and can slot in when needed. Start pre season training as you mean to go on. Work them hard in training and pray the injuries don't come. If they do though you stick with the system and use the players you have. We need to look at what united have done this season and copy it. Build a team that works rather than 11 individuals and hope they can do it on their own. Young, cheap, hungry for success. Fit, quick, hardworking. That's what we need. I don't think we should copy United. Just think we should continue on the same vein as we've started under Bruce. He's managed to get us this close with injury problems and the holes in the side we all know about, imagine what he'll do when he fixes them!
